To kick off National Fire Prevention Week, Cave Spring Volunteer Fire Department will be hosting an Open House on Saturday October 3, 2009 from 10:00am till 3:00pm. Meet your local volunteer firefighters as they perform demonstrations, station tours, and teach you about fire safety. On display will be fire apparatus and equipment, safety dog Spot, and the Fire Safety Trailer and Severe Weather Simulator. The Fire Safety Trailer and Severe Weather Simulator provides a unique opportunity to teach both children and adults fire prevention, home escape techniques, as well as the steps to take when disastrous weather strikes.  Cave Spring Volunteer Fire Department will also have many children’s activities, food, and more. Stop by and learn how you can prevent a fire in your home, tour your local fire department, and have some fun.
Cave Spring Volunteer Fire Department has been serving the Cave Spring area and the surrounding community for 67 years with dedication and commitment to community involvement, property preservation, and life safety. We respond to over 450 calls per year related to fires, vehicle accidents, and medical emergencies.
