Both of whom were able to evacuate safely without injury. The home is located in a steep, heavily wooded area. The structure fire did cause a small brush fire that was quickly contained. The fire was brought under control in about 45 minutes. The home is a total loss. After the fire was brought under control CSVFD was moved to Station 9 to cover calls while units completed overhaul. The occupants of the home will be displaced and will be staying with family. The Roanoke County Fire Marshal’s Office is on the scene to investigate a cause.
